Program Overview :
B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at SRM School of Law combines legal education with the study of the humanities and social sciences, training students to see law not merely as a system of rules but as an instrument that shapes society, governance and justice. The programme builds the ability to examine legal issues from social, political, economic, historical and ethical perspectives, giving students a grounded understanding of how laws are made, interpreted and applied. Through legal research, advocacy exercises, moot courts, internships and practical assignments, students build the confidence to analyse complex problems and apply legal principles to real-world situations.
Passed the 10+2 examination through regular/full-time mode, with a minimum aggregate of 70% (or an equivalent letter grade/GPA) in the Class XII board examination.
Candidates must have appeared for at least one of the eligible entrance exams: SRMLET- 5 Year Integrated Programmes, CLAT UG, LNAT UK, or CUET UG.
Candidates shortlisted based on one of the above entrance test scores will be called for a personal interview.
Selection is based on the cumulative merit of the entrance exam score and personal interview performance.

Diversity scholarships are offered in addition to any one of the other SRM Merit scholarship obtained by the candidate. If a candidate is eligible for more than one merit scholarship, the highest of the scholarship will be considered.

a. Regional Diversity :

Students from outside Tamil Nadu/Puducherry who are eligible for any of the above scholarships based on their SRMJEEL/CLAT scores will also receive an equivalent percentage of scholarship on their hostel fees, should they choose to opt for the hostel facility.

b. Gender Diversity :

All Female candidates will get 5% scholarship in their tuition fee as waiver

Important Note: All Scholarships will be processed after enrollment in the first year, upon successful verification of all required documents. Any fees paid will be reimbursed or adjusted against the fees for subsequent years, as applicable.
Conditions for renewal:

Renewal upon application within the stipulated date every year.
No arrears/backlogs at the time of application.
No break in studies/detention/disciplinary action/malpractice.
Must possess the required CGPA as stipulated below:
- For Merit Scholarship – 8 CGPA
- Gender/Regional diversity scholarship – 7 CGPA
