- The online application is for admissions to Health Science UG NCAHP programs offered in SRM IST Chennai (Kattankulathur).
- The admission process is based on merit, considering the aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in the 12th standard.
- Application Form Fee is Rs. 1200/- and it is Non-Refundable.
- Candidates are advised to carefully select their first program preference, as it will be considered for admission.

Program Overview
The Bachelor of Optometry is a 5 Years (Including Internship) degree program focused on the study of Optometry. The curriculum is designed to impart knowledge related to eye and it's connected organs, the correction of refractive errors, and the treatment and management of eye diseases. This degree comprises four years of education including one year of clinical internship at our tertiary care hospital. This degree is the minimum required qualification to be called as an optometrist, and to practice optometry (which includes tasks like prescribing spectacles, contact lenses, eye medicines etc) in India and around the world.
Eligibility Criteria - Academic Qualification
For He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Allied and Healthcare Course.
Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics with 50% Marks.
Admission on the basis of Senior Secondary (10 + 2) Merit.
Medical fitness certificate is mandatory to submit and is to be endorsed by Governmnent medical officer.
Foreign students' admission process in Under Graduate (UG)/ Post Graduation (PG)/ PhD:
a. Foreign national students intending to study UG/PG program in India, shall have to take equivalence certificate of eligibility certificate from respective state Allied and Healthcare Council.
b. For Under Graduate/ Post Graduation/ PhD admission of foreign national students, merit list will be based on University Entrance Exam.
c. If eligibility criteria of admission is NEET appeared then the foreign national student is require to appear in NEET d. Verification of Valid Visa and valid Visa duration of foreign national students, to be verified by respetive institution & university before enrolling students for program.

Program Overview
Bachelor of Physician Associates program is a 4-year degree program which trains students to work as a trained assistant to doctors in a health care system. Students undergo both theoretical and practical training in subjects of basic medical sciences, diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care. A typical Physician assistant is adept at taking medical histories, performing initial examinations for the patients, ordering laboratory tests and x-rays, and assisting the doctors for diagnosis and treatment.

Bachelor of Dialysis Therapy Technology is a 4 year degree program which trains students to become trained dialysis technicians in hospitals for providing specialized renal care to patients. Bachelor of Respiratory Technology is 4 year degree program which aims to impart knowledge and the necessary clinical skills required to evaluate, diagnose and provide care to patients with cardiopulmonary problems. Bachelor of Occupational therapy (BOT) is a four-and-half-year undergraduate program that deals with providing medical aid and rehabilitation support to individuals suffering from functional disabilities. Occupational therapy employs various exercises which involve both physical and mental activities to improve and develop motor and sensory skills that make patients independent in their daily lives in various Paediatric, orthopaedics, neurological, Psychiatric and Geriatric conditions. It includes judgment, problem solving skills, cognition, hand functions, and hand eye coordination. Eligibility Criteria - Academic Qualification
Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (or Botany & Zoology) with 50 % aggregate with English pass. However, in respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Other Backward Classes (NCL), the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry,and Biology are taken together in the qualifying examination shall be 40 % marks instead of 50% marks for Unreserved and General -EWS Candidates. In respect of PwBD/PwD candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology ) taken together shall be 40 % instead of 50%. English pass required for all categories.

Program Overview
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a four-and-half-year undergraduate program designed to introduce students to treatment methods that focuses on the science of movement. This science makes use of thermotherapy, electrotherapy, shockwave therapy, evidence-based kinesiology and exercise prescription to treat intermittent/chronic conditions of the bones and soft tissues. Physiotherapy or physical therapy is an allied health profession that is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation, and rehabilitation. A physical therapist’s job involves helping patients to recover and/or rehabilitate from a state of having been incapacitated from neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, sports, geriatrics, and oncology impairments among others. He/she has the responsibility to help restore the patient’s body to its optimal functioning level. They are also key health professionals in the prevention of injuries including on-field sports injuries and treat the reactions and responses of the body to injury, disease, or abnormalities in development. Physiotherapy practice is characterized by reflective behavior and systematic clinical reasoning, both contributing to and underpinning a problem-solving approach to patient-centric care. Physiotherapy is an autonomous profession, which means physiotherapists can operate as members of the health service provider or rehabilitation teams or as independent practitioners who can accept referrals from a range of sources, including from an individual themselves (self-referral) or from other people often as a member of a team with other health or social care professionals.
Eligibility Criteria - Academic Qualification
He/she must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination by recognised any Indian board or a duly constituted Board or National Open School with pass marks with minimum 50% in aggregate of physics, chemistry and biology (botany & zoology),
Candidates who have studied abroad and have passed the equivalent qualification as determined by the Association of Indian Universities and Equivalence Committee of the NCAHP, and must fulfil the criteria as per points 1-3 above.
He/she should have attained the age of 17 years as on - current year, as on the date of admission.
He/she has to furnish at the time of submission of application form, a certificate of Physical fitness from an Authorized Medical Attendant to ascertain that the candidate does not have any physical disability as per the guideline mentioned below.
Guidelines regarding admission of students with “Specified Disabilities” under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 with respect to admission in BPT Course
a. The “Certificate of Disability” shall be issued in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 notified in the Gazette of India by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment [Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan)] on 15th June 2017.
b. The extent of “specified disability” in a person shall be assessed in accordance with the “Guidelines for the purpose of assessing the extent of specified disability in a person included under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016)” notified in the Gazette of India by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment [Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan)] on 4th January 2018.
c. The minimum degree of disability should be 40% (Benchmark Disability) in order to be eligible for availing reservation for persons with specified disability.
d. The term ‘Persons with Disabilities’ (PwD) is to be used instead of the term ‘Physically Handicapped’ (PH).
e. Quota/ reservation policy as per the State Government norms to be followed by the State Council as applicable during allotment of seats
f. Candidate who fails to attend the Medical Examination on the notified date(s) will forfeit the claim for admission and placement in the waiting list except permitted by the competent authority under special circumstances.
