Everything you need to know

  1. The online application is for admissions to Health Sciences Post PG programs offered in SRM IST Chennai (Kattankulathur).
  2. Admissions will be done through SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Health Sciences (SRMJEEH) followed by a Personal Interview.
  3. Application Fee is Rs.1200/- and it is non‐refundable.
  4. Email ID submitted at the time of registration will be used for all correspondences until enrollment is completed. Change in Email ID will NOT be permitted under any circumstances.

  • The PG Diploma in Clinical Embryology is a one-year postgraduate program that focuses on the study of fertilization and the healthy development of embryos. Clinical Embryology is a rapidly advancing branch of reproductive science, emerging since the birth of the first test-tube baby in 1978, and is now an integral part of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).The program provides in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical training in human embryology. Clinical embryologists perform specialized laboratory techniques to identify the causes of infertility at the cellular level by analyzing, processing, and culturing gametes and embryos, forming the core of infertility treatment modalities. Upon completion, students gain core competencies in areas such as IVF, ICSI, gamete and embryo cryopreservation, laser hatching and biopsy, semen analysis, laboratory setup, quality control, and research methodologies, preparing them for professional roles in fertility and reproductive medicine.

    1. MBBS degree recognized by the MCI/ NMC/ Life Sciences Post Graduation (M.Sc) Candidates.
    2. Candidates who have studied in foreign countries (outside India) and passed in clinical courses, the equivalent certificate issued by MCI/NMC.
    3. Completed the age of 25 years.
    4. Minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized University in India.

  • CPCRM - Certificate Course in Psychological Counselling in Reproductive Medicine is a six-month postgraduate certification program that encompasses the study of the human reproductive system, reproductive conditions, their prevention, assessment, treatment, and prognosis support.   • The Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine is a comprehensive one-year postgraduate training program designed to provide in-depth clinical and laboratory exposure in the field of infertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART). The program aims to train medical professionals in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of both male and female infertility.
    During the course, fellows gain hands-on experience in procedures such as ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), cryopreservation, hysteroscopy, and laparoscopy. The curriculum also emphasizes ethical practices, patient communication, and the integration of evidence-based medicine in reproductive care.Upon completion, candidates are well-equipped to work as reproductive medicine specialists in fertility clinics, ART centers, and hospitals, or pursue careers in academic and clinical research within the field of reproductive health.

    1. Candidates who have passed Medical Post-graduate clinical courses and Super Specialty degree courses recognized by the MCI/NMC.
    2. Candidates should have passed MD (OG)/ MS (OG) and MCh and DNB, FRCS, MRCP, MRCS, FRACS and AB of OG.
    3. Candidates who have studied in foreign countries (Outside India) and passed in Clinical Courses in OG, the equivalent certificate issued by the MCI/NMC.

  • The Psy.D. is an applied clinical doctorate degree and its overall objective is to prepare candidates to practice at the doctoral level with flexibility to be useful in various different practitioner roles, make scholarly contributions to professional community. The course has been developed to reflect the current international trend in training and practice of Clinical Psychology, and to create supervisor-level professionals to initiate and manage M.Phil and Diploma level training programs to build Human Resources in the field of Clinical Psychology.

    Direct Entry:
    1. M.A./M.Sc. degree in Psychology from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST/OBC category, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate is essential.
    2. Should have completed Master’s Degree no more than five years prior to application.
    3. Should have completed a Research Dissertation at the Master's level.
    4. Two letters of recommendation from permanent Faculty Members from where Masters Degree has been completed should accompany the application. Of the two, at least one Faculty Member shall be with Ph.D.
    Lateral Entry:
    1. M.Phil Clinical Psychology degree from a RCI recognized centers with minimum 55% marks in aggregate.
    2. Should have completed university exam of Part I and II in the first attempt.
    3. Should have RCI registration under Clinical Psychologist category or the same must be in the process.
    4. Two letters of recommendations from permanent Faculty Members from where M.Phil degree has been completed should accompany the application. Of the two, at least one Faculty Member shall be with Ph.D.

    Placement Opportunities:
    1. Psy.D. Graduates are eligible to gain employment as consultants in Private practice, professional members in large and small academic organizations, Leader Managers in Human service organizations, Faculty in Higher Education and principal investigator in Research Projects.

 Selection Through - A selection committee that includes Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology shall make admission on the basis of an entrance examination consisting of an objective-type exam (to test the knowledge base in related branches of psychology), a written test (to test the writing skills essential to communicate among other Clinicians/Professionals), Group discussion (to test the expressive skills), Practical (to test the proficiency in administering and interpreting the basic psychological tests and conducting a problem-focused interview with a client) and an interview (to understand motivation and commitment to serve in the professions). The entrance examination shall be held separately for direct and latral entry applicants.
